A green collection bin has been deposited in Bristol which shopkeepers believe is fake. The charity’s name on the bin is not linked to any known organisation. The Textile Recycling Association said they know of a scam where people respray bins and distribute them with a new label to collect clothes which they then sell on for profit. The label on the bin says: ‘We love to recycle clothes and shoes.’ Shopkeepers have attached a new notice to the bin warning people not to donate their clothes.
